WE Cares Support of Eliana’s Light by Creating Art!

Hi Wyngate Community,
In recent years, WE CARES (Wyngate PTA’s Community Service Organization) has collaborated with Eliana’s Light. Eliana’s Light supports families with children who have complex medical conditions by providing a community-based collaborative approach to pediatric care that’s focused on their whole health and well-being — a focus that makes the whole family feel better.

If you are looking for a fun, virtual art workshop that also benefits Eliana’s Light, please see below.
Stay well,
Jocelyn Dyer, Lacey Castellanos, and Lauren Shea

Join Eliana’s Light & Fit4Mom of Montgomery County this Sunday, November 15th at 8:00pm for a DIY Virtual Art Workshop. In collaboration with Hammer & Stain, proceeds from this workshop will benefit Eliana’s Light.

It’s a great activity for the whole family. Join the workshop from the comfort of your own home via Zoom!

Can’t make the virtual? No problem, instructions are included with each project to complete at any time!

Register for any of the projects listed on the event page to complete from home along with the group through a Zoom link that will be emailed to registrants 24 hours in advance.  Orders placed by Thursday, 11/12 will be available for pick-up on 11/14 or 11/15 at Hammer & Stain in Rockville Town Square.

All projects include everything you will need to complete the project –  wood, stencil, paint, stain, and step by step instructions on how to complete the project from start to finish in case you miss the online event.

** Stencils come as they are shown unless there is a name/date that is shown as an example of personalization.

How to order (from this link):

 1. Choose a design by clicking on its picture, and a drop-down box should match it.

2. Choose 1 stain color from these options: white, light grey, black, blue, and brown.
    — 2 choices are allowed for framed signs.

3. Choose up to 3 paint colors.

4. For designs that have names, please write the name into the personalization field.  *This is for designs that have names only.

5. Confirm your order.

Please note:

Once your order has been placed, you cannot change the project, design or color choices you made.

If you have any questions, please email: hammerandstainsrockville@gmail.com.

***Once your order has been submitted, Hammer & Stain staff immediately begin the process of producing your personalized stencil.

Due to the customizations of all their workshops, they can’t offer any refunds.

However, if you cancel with at least 48-hours-notice, your full reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can only be used for future workshops. Same day cancellations or no-shows will not get a credit for a future workshop! Please email them (hammerandstainrockville@gmail.com) to cancel.

If you do not show up for a workshop for which you reserved a spot, you forfeit your payment.  If you have to cancel, they can hold your project for up to 60 days for you to go in and complete at one of their “Open Paints/Studio” times or to bring home and complete.

Regular price: $65.00.

Thank you for your consideration. 100% of all donations received from this event will go to local families that need help covering the cost of food, rent, and utilities. Eliana’s Light supports DC, MD, and VA families with children who have complex medical conditions by providing a community-based collaborative approach to care that’s focused on their whole health and well-being — a focus that helps the whole family feel better.

With love, hope and best wishes to you and your family,
Whitney Ortiz
