Dear Parent:
Would you like to serve as a Room Parent this year? Room Parents help the classroom teacher and the school in the following ways:
• Assist the teacher by identifying classroom parents who might be able to assist with special projects, chaperone field trips, etc., as needed.
• Serve as a primary source of information for class families, sharing PTA newsletters and other important school information via email.
• Organize activities and volunteers needed for Halloween and Valentine’s Day classroom parties.
• Coordinate parent volunteers for periodic PTA activities, such as the Wednesday Staff Breakfast.
If you are interested, please fill out this form by Friday, September 14. Teachers will contact you within a few days. If a teacher has an abundance of volunteers, the room parents will be selected at random. The PTA Room Parent Coordinator will organize a training evening, connecting you with other room parents, and providing important information.
