It’s hard to say goodbye to summer, but there’s lots to look forward to as the new school year begins. We hope you’ll join your Wyngate friends at the back-to-school picnic, Friday, Sept. 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., behind the school. Returning families know that this is a great night to catch up with friends you haven’t seen all summer and get back into the school groove. New families, you’ll have a chance to mingle with new friends and learn about the school community.
Here are the highlights:
* Bring your own picnic, or buy pizza, sandwiches, salads and drinks from our friends at Potomac Pizza.
PLEASE NOTE: All orders will be taken online this year (easier for you, easier for us!). Orders must be placed by Tuesday, Sept. 4. Online orders can be placed by logging into AtoZ Connect and going to the Back to School Picnic category in the “store.” If you are verifying your directory information or joining the PTA, you can place your order at the same time. Order now — it’s worth it to have dinner waiting for you! *Limited* food will be for sale that night, but when it’s gone, it’s gone!
* Bring a blanket or chairs for dinner. We’ll have designated (optional!) seating areas for each grade level so you can connect with folks in your child’s grade.
* The PTA will host a deejay and other fun for our families.
