It’s the end of May…..Your kids’ folders are falling apart, your inbox is flooded with a sea of messages about year-end events and everyone is exhausted. Welcome to the end-of-year period of mayhem that’s recently been dubbed Maycember!

Never fear! Your PTA has pulled together this handy message so you’ll have details and links for all the important happenings at Wyngate during the final 13(!) days of school. 

But, before you pull out your calendar, please take a moment to do your part to support your children’s school by:

1. Signing up to bring a store-bought or homemade cake for the ever popular Spring Fair Cake Walk. We need more than 70 additional cakes to pull it off. Sign up HERE.
    
2. Sharing a bit of your time at the Spring Fair on Saturday, June 1. This beloved event will not happen without adult volunteers. Please sign up for a shift HERE.
    
3. Volunteering for a daytime shift at Olympic Field Day (June 3) or Field Day (June 4). Details HERE.

  • Specials Week (during school): Performance of Shrek Jr. by 4^th & 5^th grade chorus for grades K-2; Wyngate Art Museum, Maker Space Tours, WynTV/Media Tours
     
• Thursday, May 30
  • Spirit Week: Dress in Hawaiian Luau Attire
  • Specials Week (during school): Performance of Shrek Jr. by 4^th & 5^th grade chorus for grades 3-5; Wyngate Art Museum, Maker Space Tours, WynTV/Media Tours
  • Buy Spring Fair wristbands ($20) immediately after school by the flagpole
  • Art Museum open for parents (3:30-4:30; 6:00-7:00)
  • Evening performance of Shrek Jr. (7:00 pm)
     
• Friday, May 31
  • Spirit Week: Dress in House Color
  • Specials Week (during school): Wyngate Art Museum, Maker Space Tours, WynTV/Media Tours, house party winner announced
  • Buy Spring Fair wristbands ($20) immediately after school by the flagpole
     
• Saturday, June 1
  • PTA Spring Fair (11 am—4pm) at the school
    • Join us for an outdoor festival of games, food and fun for the community

  • Spirit Week: Dress as Class Country
  • Specials Week: Olympic Field Day
     
• Tuesday, June 4
  • Spirit Week: Dress as Favorite Sports Team
  • Specials Week (during school): Go for the GOLD! and Instrumental Band Assembly
  • Instrumental Band Concert (7 pm)

  • Full day of school (original calendar had this as a day off)
  • Walter Johnson Capacity Study Community Meeting at 6:30 PM at Ashburton Elementary School
     
• Tuesday, June 11
  • PTA Meeting at 7 pm in the Media Center (moved from June 4)

  • Last day of school (early release at 12:55)
